Aiken’s 10th Women Build Underway

A public kickoff meeting for Aiken’s 2016 Women Build program will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the South Aiken Presbyterian Church, 1711 Whiskey Road. This year’s volunteer team will build the tenth Women Build home in Aiken County, starting at the end of February. All women interested in getting involved in the project are invited to attend. Please enter through the sanctuary doors on the Whiskey Road side of the church complex.

The Women Build team will also host free optional skills clinics for women interested in participating in the construction of the house. The clinics will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Lowe’s of Aiken store on Whiskey Road, beginning January 23rd and continuing each Saturday through February 27th. Sign up for the clinics and/or construction days by selecting the ‘Volunteering’ tab above, and then ‘Individual’, and clicking on the VolunteerUp button. Please designate “Women Build” as your team.
